Jacob Kingston, PhD, serves as CEO of Washakie Renewable Energy Group, a Plymouth, Utah-based firm dedicated to producing sources of renewable energy such as biodiesel, recycling of industrial waste products, and producing pharmaceutical and chemical industry inputs. A graduate of the University of Utah where he earned his BS, ME, and PhD in mechanical engineering, he is also a former worker in the mining, recycling, agricultural, and energy sectors. Jacob Kingston draws on this extensive experience to provide leadership to his company and identify potential opportunities for growth. Under his guidance, Washakie Renewable Energy has become Utah's largest producer of biodiesel and has also invested in the future of the state through the establishment of scholarship programs for aspiring engineering students.
Jacob Kingston independently established a number of scholarships for engineering students, including the Kingston Energy Engineering Scholarship. He is also a member of the Cache Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time he maintains a healthy, active lifestyle and regularly engages in CrossFit training. He enjoys traveling and has done so extensively, visiting Italy, Malaysia, Turkey, and China among other countries.
